UAE telecom operator Etisalat announced today that it will sell the latest 4G+/LTE Huawei P9 smartphone for zero upfront starting Dh80per month to its UAE customers. The new mobile device from Huawei can be bought from select Etisalat Business Centres and authorised retail outlets across the UAE. On Monday, April 25, Huawei unveiled the P9 and P9 Plus in Dubai, its 2016 flagships that sport two rear-facing camera lenses. The Chinese firm beat Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7, which is also rumoured to come with the dual-camera technology. Etisalat said interested customers may also buy the new device online on www.etisalat.ae/huaweip9 and enjoy free delivery. Our customers will get the chance to switch to this new mobile device and enjoy the benefits of our convenient monthly ‘smart pay’ option,” said Khaled ElKhouly, Chief Consumer Officer at Etisalat. Huawei P9 is available from Etisalat with ‘smart pay’ options that allows customers to choose a plan as per their convenience and suited to their payment requirements across 24, 18 or 12 months. It starts with Dh80/month, Dh105/month and Dh155/month respectively. The Huawei P9 is available for Etisalat’s post-paid customers at zero upfront charges on monthly rentals of Dh230, Dh355 and Dh605. Included in the post-paid plans are monthly data allowances of 5GB, 10GB and 20GB, respectively. Etisalat’s smartphone plans for the new Huawei device also includes flexi or local minutes on all three packages, such as the 20GB monthly data package bundled with 750 flexi or 2,000 local minutes. Etisalat’s customers can also buy the Huawei P9 on a standalone basis. Huawei P9 is available for Dh1,799.
