Sacred Heart Varsity Hockey team clinches Mayflower League championship
Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, is proud to announce that its ice hockey team had an outstanding season, culminating in being named 2015-2016 Mayflower League champions. The Sacred Heart Saints team earned the title following its recent win over Diman Regional Vocational Technical School. The 26-member team was led by Captains Ian Fillion, Colin Gillis and John Quinn. “Our teams has been resilient and focused all year in achieving its goals,” said Tom MacDonald, Head Coach for the Sacred Heart High School Varsity Hockey team. “I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching this team and I can’t tell you how proud I am of all our incredible players – as individuals and as a team – on and off the ice.” “Once again, our student athletes shine,” said Sacred Heart School President Pamela Desmarais. “Congratulations are extended to these fine young athletes for a remarkable season.” About Sacred Heart School Sacred Heart is a private, co-educational Catholic school system, which provides educational opportunities for students throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod, from preschool through grade 12.
