Italy's Jewellery Districts Glitter at VICENZAORO DUBAI

Dubai, UAE, April 16, 2016: VICENZAORO DUBAI -the unique networking platform designed for the jewellery business community in one of the main luxury destinations in the world - is back this year with its second edition scheduled from 14 to 17 April. VICENZAORO DUBAI is a coveted event where the key jewellery producers display their latest and finest collections to the most qualified international sector professionals. On the occasion of the event, the Italian Trade Agency, in association with the Exhibition Organizers, has set up its own Pavilion to showcase the distinctive designs that set Italian jewellery apart. No country in the world, in fact, produces jewellery like Italy does. Whether hand- or machine-made, jewellery makers produce an endless variety of pieces that combine superb artistry and craftsmanship. The Italian jewellery industry is composed of approximately 9,000 companies employing 32.000 people, mainly concentrated in four major geographical areas - Vicenza, Valenza, Arezzo, Campania Region - with a total turnover of more than €6 billion. Most of these are highly specialized small and medium sized companies, enjoying a very diversified product base and very high goods to export all over the world. Italy relies strongly on the importance of Dubai as the leading hub for jewellery sales and luxury propensity worldwide. The UAE is one of the most prominent markets for Italian gold and jewellery. In 2015 sales totaled over €1 billion and the UAE ranked second after Switzerland in terms of Italian exports to world markets.
