Houston based Jazz Crooner/Singer Anthony Caceres debut new recording at Ovations Nightclub

Former bassist of The Glenn Miller Orchestra and brother of top call saxophonist David Caceres takes career to a new level. Houston, TX (MMD Newswire) April 18, 2016 -- Anthony Caceres, one of Houston's most popular jazz singers will release his first full length recording with a concert at Ovation's Nightclub in the Rice Village on Saturday, May 6th. Anthony Caceres, known mainly as a bassist has quickly established himself as a top notch jazz singer in South Texas after leading his own trio at the Corpus Christi Jazz Festival this past September. Born and raised in San Antonio, Anthony Caceres comes from music royalty. His great uncle Ernie Caceres, who ranked #2 among baritone-saxophonists to Harry Carney before the bebop era, playing with Glenn Miller and Eddie Condon. Anthony's grandfather was the virtuoso violinist Emilio Caceres, who led his trio on the Benny Goodman Camel Caravan Radio Show and was top ranked in Downbeat alongside violinist Joe Venuti. The concert will feature songs from his latest recording dubbed "Crooner". Joining Anthony's band will be pianist Pamela York, HSPVA Director of Jazz Studies on tenor sax Warren Sneed and Dallas based drummer Andrew Griffith.
